Then, submit the completed documents to the Division. The Division will then submit your information to the NSTC after confirming your eligibility and documents. <ul> <li class="ed_txt">Register or update your personal information online.</li> <li class="ed_txt">Complete the application form and submit your abstract online. The abstract must be from the paper that you will be presenting at the conference, and this must be the first time that the paper will be presented/published.</li> <li class="ed_txt">Documents proving that the paper has been accepted for presentation/publication.</li> <li class="ed_txt">A recommendation letter from your advisor (including a statement on the student’s foreign language proficiency and the advisor’s handwritten signature).</li> <li class="ed_txt">Other related documents that can facilitate the reviewing process (e.g., the full text of the paper).</li> </ul> </li> <li class="ed_txt">Application Deadline: Graduate students should complete their online application no later than 11:59 PM on the last day of the month two months before the first day of the month that the conference will be held (please refer to the attached NYCU Application Schedule). Late applications will not be accepted. Applicants are advised to submit their application as early as possible to prevent the application from being returned due to incomplete information and to allow for additional submissions.</li> <li class="ed_txt">Review Guidelines and Period: <ul> <li class="ed_txt">Graduate Students are limited to one grant a year. If a paper has multiple co-authors, only one graduate student can receive the grant for its presentation.</li> <li class="ed_txt">After receiving applications, related departments of the NSTC will complete their review within one month of receiving the documents and notify the NYCU of the results of the review. When necessary, the NSTC may extend the review period.</li> </ul> </li> <li class="ed_txt">Process to change the application after approval: <ul> <li class="ed_txt">Approved cases cannot be changed unless otherwise submitted by the Division and approved by the NSTC.</li> <li class="ed_txt">Graduate Students should apply for changes on the Academic Research Service Portal through the official NSTC website. Changes will only be official after approval from the NSTC.
