The unique patented design of this device can continuously detect changes in cell energy without touching or harming cells by sensing the concentration of oxygen and hydrogen ions in the surrounding environment. It is the only device in the world that can simultaneously detect cellular aerobic and anaerobic respiration, covering the instrumentation of overall energy metabolism. The device is stable and intuitive, making it accessible for studying energetics.

This device has several applications:

Translational Medical Research - The device can analyze human samples such as WBC, platelet, fibroblast, and muscle biopsy to evaluate the relationship between various diseases and energy, establishing a database of the correlation between human energy and diseases. Researchers have published preliminary research results on AIDS, neurodegenerative diseases, depression, diabetes, and glutaric acidemia and have even published them in international journals. It requires a small amount of specimen and can analyze multiple samples simultaneously, making it a breakthrough tool that connects basic research and clinical medicine.

Diabetes, obesity, and various metabolic syndromes - The device can help researchers understand the use of different nutrients by organisms at the basic research level, thereby analyzing the pathogenesis of various metabolic syndromes or quickly screening drugs with therapeutic potential. At the clinical level, assessing the characteristics of patients' own metabolic systems will contribute to developing disease diagnosis and treatment strategies, establishing a clinical metabolism database, and improving the diversity of related examination services.

Aging and degenerative neurological diseases - The device can help researchers understand the operation of mitochondria and the intracellular metabolic system, which is closely related to many neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and physical degeneration caused by aging. Defects in mitochondria or related pathways can destroy the balance of energy supply within cells, causing cells to lose function or die, ultimately leading to various aging and disease.

Oxidative stress, ischemia- reperfusion-induced cellular damage - These factors mainly come from free radicals (reactive oxygen species, ROS) produced by mitochondria. This type of molecule can destroy the structure of various biomolecules in cells and cause them to lose their functions, making it the primary source of intracellular stress. Understanding the function of mitochondria helps researchers explain ROS's source and operating mechanism.

Cancer Research - The device can help study the relationship and importance of metabolic systems and cancer and accelerate the development of cancer treatment strategies. The Warburg effect points out that the metabolic system of cancer cells prefers to use glycolysis to produce lactic acid as the primary energy compared to normal cells. This metabolic characteristic is closely related to the aggressiveness, proliferation, metastasis speed, growth ability, and cancerization process of cancer cells. The lactic acid produced is essential for cancer cells to affect surrounding normal cells.

Toxicity research and metabolism-modulating drug development - The device can assist researchers in drug development by detecting mitochondrial/metabolic system toxicity early in drug screening to avoid investing R&D costs in researching toxic and unsuitable drugs. It can also help to screen compounds with specific metabolic regulation abilities for subsequent development of metabolism-related therapeutic drugs.

Cell quality monitoring - The device can be used to observe the metabolic characteristics of the cell line itself as a "biological fingerprint." By observing the sensitive metabolic system, researchers can understand the differentiation or growth changes of cells over time, which can affect the results of experiments. This system offers clear judgment criteria and sensitivity, unlike traditional methods that rely on observation of cell life and appearance.

Features:

Our technology can detect mitochondrial aerobic metabolism and glycolysis anaerobic metabolism pathways simultaneously.

It can analyze various samples, including adherent cells, suspended cells, organelles, and tissue samples.

The microwell plate design requires only a small number of cells, speeding up the research process.

The highly sensitive optical detection system does not require any reagents.

The Automated Clinical Chemistry Analyzer is a device that can analyze various parameters using a small amount of samples. The samples are injected into the test slide and then reacted in the instrument to obtain the value.

The test parameters are listed below:

Colorimetric measurements: ALP, AMYL, CHE, CKMB, CPK, GGT, GOT/AST, GPT/ALT, LAP, LDH, ALB, BUN, Ca, CRE, DBIL, GLU, HDL-C, IP, Mg, NH3, TBIL, TCHO, CRP, TG, TP, and UA.

Electrolytes: Na-K-Cl

Blood volume and sample requirement: The device requires minimal blood volume. Only 0.01 cc of blood sample is sufficient for a single test. Only 0.5 cc of whole blood centrifuge sample is sufficient for 20 tests. The device can test whole blood (NH3-W), urine (GLU, BUN, CRE, UA, CA), serum, and plasma.

The sample volume required for colorimetric measurement should not exceed 10 μl/test, and the electrolyte sample should not exceed 50 μl/3 tests.

Dry measurement can minimize internal fluid lines to reduce the chance of cross-contamination.

The device has built-in at least four dilution multipliers for easy adjustment and auto-extrapolation of readings.
