Issues with Instrument use

The common instruments on the Yangming Campus are divided into three categories: core facilities, general instruments and escrow instruments, which are located in the Yangming Campus Biomedical Engineering Hall, Nursing Hall, Tuzi Building, Biomedical Building and Shouren Building. For detailed instrument information, you can go to each instrument information page of the center's website for inquiries. For the number of instruments and their setting locations, please refer to "Common Instruments->Common Instrument List of YM Campus” list, or contact extension 62382 on campus to ask someone to serve you.
  1. Core facilities and general instruments: imaging core facilities, flow cytometer core facilities, mass spectrometer facilities, high-speed centrifuges, ultra-high-speed centrifuges and high-efficiency vacuum concentration centrifuges need to obtain certification before using the instruments.
  2. Hosted instrument: It is handled in accordance with the regulations of each hosting unit. Please refer to the information on the dedicated page of the instrument.
Please call the campus extension 62832 to contact the center staff to confirm whether the previous instrument certification qualifications are correct. After checking the certification information, you will be granted the right to use the instrument without re-authentication.
During working hours, you can inquire at the nearest offices, and the center staff will help you troubleshoot problems, or you can call extension 62382 for assistance.

If an instrument failure occurs during non-working hours, please turn off the power and suspend use, and record the failure situation in detail in the log book, so as to facilitate subsequent troubleshooting as soon as possible; in addition, you can also go to the center to inquire about the location of the same type of equipment, and go to other equipment rooms use.
The center conducts various instrument teaching courses in spring, summer and autumn every year. Course information is announced on the website and online registration is open. Interested users are welcome to participate actively.
When the instrument is damaged due to the use of the center's instrument, the manufacturer should issue an appraisal report, and the user and his instructor will negotiate with the director of the instrument resource center to discuss compensation matters. If the negotiation fails, the user of the instrument resource center will The committee held an ad hoc project meeting and invited relevant personnel to attend to clarify the attribution of responsibilities and compensation issues.
