Guidelines for NYCU Faculty Funding for Academic Paper Publication
1. The Guidelines for NYCU Faculty Funding for Academic Paper Publication (referred to as the “Guideline”) are established to elevate the research standard and encourage faculty members and researchers at our university to disseminate research results through academic papers published in top-tier international journals.
2. Application Criteria: Full-time teaching faculty and researchers employed by our university who have been designated as the corresponding author for the submitted academic paper. The author affiliation should be National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.
3. Payment Methods and Amount: Reimbursements should be made accurately in accordance with the submitted reports and the annual budget.
(1) The reimbursement covers expenses such as publishing fees, overlength fees, and color printing fees for the paper.
(2) Payment methods include those listed below:
(A)For journal papers ranked in the top 1% of their field according to the Ranking Factor, the maximum total reimbursement is NTD$150,000.
(B)For journal papers ranked in the top 10% of their field according to the Ranking Factor, the maximum total reimbursement is NTD$20,000.
(C)For papers with an Impact Factor more than 10, the maximum total reimbursement is NTD$30,000.
(D)If Open Access fees are required or the applicant opts for Open Access, the maximum total reimbursement can increase by NTD$20,000.
(E)Each paper can only be used to apply for the reimbursement once.
4. Application Process: Please enclose the documents listed below and submit them to the Office of Research and Development for review. The finalized reimbursement amount will be determined upon approval.
(1) An application form and an offprint of the paper.
(2) Price list provided by the publishing or printing companies along with original copies of invoices (or receipts).
(3) Original copies of the bank transaction proofs. (For credit card transactions, please include a copy of the credit card payment).
(4) All proofs and related receipts must be issued in the current year.
5. Papers previously submitted for reimbursement applications at other institutions are not eligible for reimbursement applications at the university.
6. This guideline will be executed after the approval of the R&D Executive Committee Council.
